2017 OF201

2017 OF201 is an extreme trans-Neptunian object and dwarf planet candidate, estimated to be at least 550 kilometres (340 miles) in diameter. With an absolute magnitude of between 3 and 4, 2017 OF201 may be the brightest known object in the solar system that does not have a directly estimated size. The orbit of 2017 OF201 is extremely large and elongated, bringing it from 45 to 1,630 astronomical units (0.00071 to 0.02577 ly) away from the sun.

Saturn is the sixth planet from the Sun. It is the second largest planet in the Solar System, along with having the most moons of any planet. Saturn is most famous for its complex ring system, which is made mostly of ice chunks and crystals. Its biggest moon is Titan, the only moon to possess a defined atmosphere.

Vulcan, the hypothetical planet

, Vulcan was a hypothetical planet named after the Roman god of fire.

In the mid-19th century, astronomers observed irregularities in Mercury's orbit that couldn't be fully explained by Newtonian physics. To account for these discrepancies, the French astronomer Urbain Le Verrier (who famously predicted the existence of Neptune based on irregularities in Uranus's orbit) proposed the existence of an "intra-Mercurial" planet, orbiting between Mercury and the Sun.

He named this hypothetical planet "Vulcan" after the Roman god of fire and the forge, due to its supposed proximity to the Sun and the extreme heat it would experience. Many astronomers searched for Vulcan over the following decades, and some even claimed to have observed it. However,…

Jupiter is the 5th and largest planet in our Solar System. It is home to many intricate features, such as its storm systems, the largest of which called the Great Red Spot, an anticyclonic storm that has lived throughout all of Jupiter's observational history.

Jupiter's atmospheric composition is similar to the Sun, both containing hydrogen and helium. However, unlike the Sun, Jupiter does not have enough mass to begin nuclear fusion and become a star or brown dwarf. It would have to be 11.4 to 14.4 times its current mass to be able to start deuterium fusion.

P/2013 R3 (Catalina-PanSTARRS)

P/2013 R3 (Catalina-PanSTARRS) was an Active Asteroid that disintegrated from 2013 to 2014 due to the centrifugal breakup of its rapidly-rotating. it was astronomer of the Catalina and Pan-STARRS sky surveys on 15 sep 2013, the disintegration of this asteroid ejected numerous fragments and dust debris into space, which temporily gave it a diffuse, Comet-like appearance with a dust tail blown back by solar radiation pressure. Observations by ground-based telescopes in October 2013 revealed that P/2013 R3 had broken up into four major components, with later hubble space telescope have further broken up into at least thirteen smaller fragments ranging 100-400 meters (330-1,310 ft) in diameter. Mount Everest is a mountain on Earth. It is the tallest on the entire planet, having a height of 8.84 km (5.5 mi). It is located on the continent of Asia and was first climbed by a human in 1953.

The mountain was formed by the unification of the Indian continent with the Eurasian continent.

  • Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay were the first people to climb the mountain.
  • Although scientific consensus on this being the tallest mountain on Earth, from the bottom of Earth's ocean Mauna Kea would actually be the tallest.
  • The summit of the mountain has a temperature of -25°C. In cold winters, temperatures can even be as cold as -35°C. Due to the low air pressure, it is also extremely difficult to breathe there.

Meteor Crater is a meteorite impact crater approximately 37 miles (60 km) east of Flagstaff and 18 miles (29 km) west of Winslow in the northern Arizona desert of the United States. Because the United States Board on Geographic Names commonly recognizes names of natural features derived from the nearest post office, the feature acquired the name of "Meteor Crater" from the nearby post office named Meteor. The site was formerly known as the Canyon Diablo Crater and fragments of the meteorite are officially called the Canyon Diablo Meteorite. Scientists refer to the crater as Barringer Crater in honor of Daniel Barringer, who was first to suggest that it was produced by meteorite impact. The crater is privately owned by the Barringer family …

Making Wiki Navigation Even Easier

Ok here's my wiki navigation proposal.

So this blog will be about one of the things I wanted to implement on the wiki but neve got around to do. If you have ever snooped around my about page and clicked on any of the other wikis I work on, you might have stumbled upon Rocketpedia, my other wiki project that has been running for around a year at the time of writing this. There, I experimented with some features like listening to articles, template documentation, references, template mechanics and other stuff. One of the things I experimented with was easy wiki navigation, where the search bar would basically be never used and navigation could be achieved only with clicks of the mouse. I eventually made a system that made navigation between d…

Archive:Elliptical Orbit

An elliptical orbit is a type of orbit in which a celestial body or satellite follows a closed path around a central body, shaped like an ellipse. This configuration is governed by the principles of Kepler’s laws of planetary motion and Newtonian mechanics. Elliptical orbits are the most common type of orbital path in celestial mechanics, with all planets, moons, comets, and many artificial satellites following such trajectories.

Six-Planet Nice Model

The Six-Planet Nice Model is a theoretical framework that describes the early dynamical evolution of the Solar System, building on the original Nice Model. This version incorporates the hypothesis of an additional ice giant planet, which would have coexisted with Jupiter, Saturn, Hades, Uranus, and Neptune before being ejected from the Solar System. The model is named after the city of Nice, France, where it was first developed by a group of planetary scientists in the mid 21st century.

Sixth Giant

The Sixth Giant is a planet proposed by the Six-Planet Nice Model, theorized to have orbited between Hades and Uranus during the early formation of the Solar System. Over time, due to intense gravitational interactions with the other gas giants, especially Jupiter, the Sixth Giant would be ejected from the Solar System. It is believed to have been an ice giant, similar to Hades Uranus and Neptune. Some researchers speculate that the Sixth Giant could also be linked to Planet 10, another hypothetical planet that scientists believe exist because of the recent amount of comets being ejected inwards into the Solar System that can only seem to be caused by a large force pushing them in.

The Sixth Giant was ejected during the event known as the Lat…

To calculate the circumference of a planet, get it's radius, then multiply by two, now you multiplicate the diameter by pi (3.14), and there you go with the circumference, to calculate diameter, just the reverse, divide by pi instead of multiplicating<

Dim Stars usually have masses ranging from 1500-4600 times the mass of our own sun, making far more massive than any proper star known, causing some doubts to the existence of these stars. Some paper have also theorized that dim stars are just very condense, hot, and bright clouds of dust, due to their low temperatures and unusually high lu…
