History[]
Before 2000, multiple concepts for flybys of Pluto were made, such as The Pluto Kuiper Express, however all of them were rejected or became too expensive. New Horizons was eventually selected in November 2001, and was eventually launched in January of 2006. It flew by APL in 2006, and Jupiter in 2007, and soon passed Pluto in 2015. Arrokoth was also flew by in 2019.
