Selam is the only moon of Dinkinesh. It was visited by the Lucy spacecraft on November 1, 2023. It the first ever known contact binary moon of an asteroid. It was discovered during the flyby. It is a sub-kilometer moon of a sub-kilometer asteroid.
Physical Characteristics[]
It is a light grey, rocky, asteroid moon. It has many cliffs and boulders and is similar in composition to another sub-kilometer asteroid moon, Dimorphos.
